Default double / triple bonds

i saw a build on pvx today that had two monks both with life bond on a tank... i thought that this would only allow one bond of each type on one person. balthazars spirit and other bonds normally work that way am i correct?

It's a little more complicated than that...
[[Balthazar's Spirit] will give one energy to the target whenever it takes damage.
Having multiple people cast it on the target doesn't change that.

However, with certain maintained enchantments having several people cast them on a target has advantages.
For example, if three people cast [[Protective Bond] on a target, the energy cost each time the target is hit will be split between them.
If several people all cast [[Essence Bond] on one person. Each of them will gain one energy when the target is taking damage.

In the case of [[Life Bond] I believe the damage that's dealt to the caster is split between each person maintaining it.
However, I've not tried it myself so I'm not too sure about that.
The actual effect of the enchantment doesn't stack though.

Also, visually the target of multiple maintained enchantments will only see one instance of the enchantment on themselves.
However, each person maintaining it will see it in their upkeep area.

that's perfect... that's what i really wanted to know. it makes sense to be used in high end pve areas so that the tank splits dmg amongst several monks and to use balthazars spirit on onesself to maximise energy for heal-spamology

3 bond heroes with essence bond, prot bond, and life bond, and one with life barrier = win outside of enchant removal areas, though it's kind of a waste of 3 hero slots...as you need all four of the same skills on each to maintain it. You can give them all different elites, or give them all heal party or extinguish or martyr or whatnot but in the end you have to do all the damage yourself or live with 4 others having to do your damage for you. Then again, you can give them all RoJ and hope for the best...you only need enough prot in the build for -3 energy(9 with +4 headpiece, 12 smite with +4 smite headpiece to swap to, put this on human monks of course), put the rest into smite and you have yourself an interesting little team with a 55 monk or obsi flesh tank. 40/40 divine favor set on a 55 monk, won't need to use prot spirit, he can spam damage, shielding hands, rad field...it's a really heavy way to run RoJ-way if all of a sudden SF gets the nerf.
